தமிழினப் படுகொலை நினைவேந்தல்: செய்திக் குறிப்பு

ஐ.நா வினால் அறிவிக்கப்பட்ட சர்வதேச “சித்திரவதைகளால் பாதிக்கப்பட்டவர்களுக்கான ஆதரவு“ தினத்தில் இலங்கை அரசினால் கடந்த 60 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு மேலாகவும், தமிழீழத்தின் மீது கடந்த 2009ம் ஆண்டில் நட்த்திய இனப்படுகொலைப் போரில் படுகொலை செய்யப்பட்ட 1,46,976 தமிழர்களுக்காகவும், போருக்கு பின்னான சித்திரவதை செய்யபட்டு படுகொலை செய்யப்பட்டவர்களுக்காகவும், சிங்கள அரசை எதிர்த்த்தால் படுகொலை செய்யப்பட்ட ஊடகவியளாளர்களுக்காகவும் மேலும் கடந்த 25 ஆண்டுகளுக்கும் மேலாக அடித்து துன்புருத்தப்பட்டு படுகொலை செய்யப்படும் 543 தமிழக மீனவர்களுக்காகவும் சென்னை மரீனா கடற்கரையில் மரியாதை செலுத்தும் விதமாக நினைவேந்தல் செய்ய அனைத்து அரசியல், சமூக அமைப்புகளின் சார்பாக திட்டமிடப் பட்டுள்ளது.
இந்நிகழ்வானது சாதி, மத,கட்சி எல்லைகளை தாண்டி தமிழீழத்தில் இனப்படுகொலை செய்யப்பட்டவர்களுக்கு பொது மக்கள் தம் குடும்பத்தினரோடு மரியாதை செய்யும் ஒரு தினம். இந்த நிகழ்வின் மூலம் தமிழர்கள் சர்வதேச அரசுகளுக்கும், மக்களுக்கும், மேலும் ஐ.நா-விற்கும் இந்த தமிழினப்படுகொலைக்கான நீதி கிடைக்கும் வரை தமது போராட்ட்த்தை நிறுத்தப் போவது இல்லை என்பதை மேலும் உறுதியாய் வலியுறுத்தும். போர் முடிந்து இரண்டு ஆண்டுகள் கழிந்த பிறகும் தமிழர்களின் பாதுகாப்பும், தமிழ் பெண்களின்  மீதான பாலியல் வன்முறைகளும், தமிழரின் அரசியல் கோரிக்கையான “சுதந்திரத் தமிழீழம்” சர்வதேசத்தால் நிறைவேற்றப்படவில்லை. தொடர்ந்தும் தமிழர்கள் ஒரு குற்றவாளி அரசின் பிடியில் சித்திரவதை அனுபவிக்கிறார்கள். இந்த சித்திரவதைகளையும், படுகொலைகளையும் தடுக்க சர்வதேசம் முழுமனதுடன் செயல்படவில்லை என்பதை அனைத்துலக தமிழர்கள் கவலையுடன், ஆதங்கத்துடனும் கவனித்து வருகிறார்கள்.

சமீபத்தில் வெளியான காணொளி ஆதாரங்கள் தமிழர்கள் போர் நடந்த சமயத்தில் சர்வதேசத்திற்கு வைத்த வேண்டுகோளின் காரணத்தை தற்போது அவர்களுக்கு உணர்த்துகின்றன. சர்வதேச சமூகம் நேர்மையான மனித நேய அடிப்படையில் இந்தப் போரில் தலையிட்டு தமிழரின் உரிமையை நிலை நாட்ட முன்வரவில்லை. போருக்கு பின்னான மனித உரிமை மற்றும் மனித குல விரோத செயல்களை தமிழர்களின் மீது நிகழ்த்தாமல் தடுப்பதற்கான வழிமுறைகளை பற்றிய முயற்சிகளை மேற்கொள்ளாமல் இருப்பதே அனைத்துலக தமிழரின் கவலையாகவும் கேள்வியாகவும் உள்ளது. ஆகவே தமிழரின் உரிமைகளும் சுயமரியாதையும், வாழ்வுரிமையும் பாதுகாக்க சர்வதேசச் சமூகத்தின் முக்கிய அங்கமான ஐ. நா முன் வரவேண்டும். 1976ஆம் ஆண்டு தமிழீழத்தமிழர்கள் ஏகமனதாக பொது வாக்கெடுப்பின் மூலம் நிறைவேற்றிய சுதந்திர தமிழீழமே தமிழர்களின் சித்திரவதைகளுக்கும்,  நிரந்தர பாதுகாப்பிற்குமான ஒரே திர்வு என்பதை புரிந்து அதன் அடிப்படையில் செயல்படவேண்டும் என்பதுவும் தமிழக மக்களின் ஏகோபித்த கோரிக்கையாக உள்ளது. இந்த கோரிக்கையை சென்னை லயோலா கல்லூரியின் கள ஆய்வில் தமிழகத் தமிழர்கள் உறுதியாக வெளிப்படுத்தி இருக்கிறார்கள். மேலும் இந்த நிகழ்வானது தமிழக சட்டசபையில் ஏக மனதாக நிறைவேற்றப்பட்ட தீர்மானத்திற்கு வலுசேர்த்து  இலங்கை அரசை தனிமைப்படுத்த தமிழக அரசு எடுக்கும் முடிவுகளுக்கான ஆதரவையும் வெளிப்படுத்துவதாக அமைகிறது.

இந்த சர்வதேச சித்திரவதைகளால் பாதிக்கப்பட்டவர்களின் ஆதரவு தினத்தில் ஐ.நாவும் சர்வதேச்ச் சமூகமும் தமிழீழப்பகுதிகளை ஆக்கிரமித்துள்ள சிங்கள போர்குற்றவாளி ராணுவத்திடமிருந்து மீட்டு தமிழர்களின் கட்டுப்பாட்டுக்குள் கொண்டு வருவதுடன், தமிழர்களின் அரசியல் கோரிக்கையான “ தமிழீழ விடுதலையை உறுதி செய்திட்டல்” மட்டுமே தமிழர்கள் சித்திரவதைகளில் இருந்து தப்பியவர்களாக வாழவழி செய்யும். இதை உறுதி செய்யும் கடமை சர்வதேசச் சமூகத்திற்கு உண்டு என்பதை இந்த நினைவேந்தல் நிகழ்வின் மூலம் பொது மக்களாகிய தமிழகத் தமிழர்கள் உலகிற்கு உணர்த்துகிறார்கள்.

Light A Candle on June 26 @ Marina, Chennai to Wake up UN and International Community

Dear Friends and Comrades,
This is a call to reach out to all our Tamil sisters and brothers suffering in Sri Lanka.
Would you agree that a 13 year innocent female child be raped to be pregnant by the military in the name of War on Terror?

During the war in Sri Lanka nearly 70,000 Tamil girls aged between 13 and 18 were made pregnant by Sinhalese Soldiers. They were kept away from the International Community monitoring the refugee camps.
The truth is that Tamil people are still not safe after the Tamil Genocide executed in 2009. Even now, military trucks go into villages and pick up the girls and women and molest them in military camps by brutal force.

It has been nearly two years since the United Nations opened eyes to the horrors at the Vanni beach in 2009. It was a half-hearted effort by the UN to bring out the truth to this world. The Report by United Nations expert panel proposed by Ban Ki Moon produced an incomplete study about the past and the current situation. Also, the international community ignored this and abandoned the Tamil people.
It is time we Tamils get together to show our support to our mothers, fathers, brothers and sisters in their fight for justice and peace.

We are observing a silent candle light vigil at Chennai’s Marina Beach (near Kannaki statue) on 26th of June, which had been declared as International Day in Support of Tortured Victims by UN.

You are called to join us in this democratic protest for this Genocide and Holocaust in Srilanka.
Our unity and solidarity will help to bring greater attention to the UN and International community to protect the innocent young girls (our sisters and daughters). Also, this will send a strong message that we are against this atrocity and condemn this act.

ஜூன் 26 நினைவேந்தல் எதற்காக?

இது ஒரு சம்பரதாய அஞ்சலி அல்ல. ஐ.நா தினமான “சித்திரவதையால் பாதிக்கப்பட்டவர்களுக்கான சர்வதேச ஆதரவு தினத்தில்”  நமது தமிழ் உறவுகள் இலங்கை அரசால் சித்திரவதை செய்யப்பட்டே இனப்படுகொலைக்கு உள்ளாக்கப்பட்டனர் என்பதை சர்வதேசச் சமூகத்திற்கும், ஊடகத்திற்கும் உணர்த்த வேண்டி இருக்கிறது. இந்தப் படுகொலைகளையும், சித்திரவதைகளையும் தட்டிக்கேட்காமலும், தடுக்காமலும் இன்று வரை இலங்கை அரசை அனுமதித்து இருக்கின்ற சர்வதேசச் சமூகத்தின் மனசாட்சி என்கிற ஒன்றை அசைத்துப் பார்ப்போம். எல்லாவற்றிற்கும் மேலாக இந்தப்படுகொலைகளை திட்டமிட்டு, செயல்படுத்திய இனபடுகொலை கூட்டாளி இந்திய அரசு மற்றும் அதற்கு துணை நின்ற இந்திய ஊடகத்திற்கு ஒரு எச்சரிக்கை குறிப்பாக அமையட்டும்.
ஐ. நா தினத்தன்று அவர்களின் அதிகாரிகளை நாம் அழைத்து வந்து இந்த நிகழ்வின் வலியை உணர்த்துவோம். மெரினா கடற்கரையில் இருந்து சற்று தூரத்தில் இருந்த ஒரு கடற்கரையில் தனித்து, தமிழரினம்- குழந்தை,பெண்கள் முதியவருடன் விடப்பட்டு சிங்கள-இந்திய அரசினால் வேட்டையாடப்பட்டது. முற்றுகையிடப்பட்ட மற்றும் தற்காத்துக்கொள்ள அனுமதிக்கப்படாத தமிழர்கள், அவர்கள் தமிழர்கள் என்கிற ஒரே காரணத்திற்காக ரத்தச் சகதியாக மாற்றப்பட்டனர். சர்வதேசச் சமூகம் மெளனமாக இந்தப் படுகொலைகளை அனுமதித்தது. இது ஒரு இனப்படுகொலை என அங்கீகரிக்க மறுக்கும் இந்த ஐ.நா உட்பட்ட உலக சமூகம் இப்படியானதொரு இனபடுகொலையை  நிகழ்த்த இலங்கையை அனுமதித்ததை நாம் ஒரு பொழுதும் மன்னிக்க முடியாது. இதே போல, அந்த படுகொலைகள் நிகழ்ந்தபொழுது அமைதிகாத்து, தமிழர்களை வேட்டையாடிய கட்சிகளின் கழுத்தைப் பிடித்து கேள்வி கேட்டு இந்திய அரசை மண்டியிட வைக்காத தமிழ் நாட்டு தமிழர்களாகிய நம்மின் கோழைத்தனத்திற்கும் இந்த மன்னிப்பு ஒரு பொழுதும் கிடைக்கப்போவதில்லை.

ஐ.நாவின் மனித உரிமை தினத்தில், ஒரு ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமையின் மாலையில்,  தமது பாதுகாவலர்கள் அனைவரும் வெட்டி வீழ்த்தப்பட்டு பின் ஒவ்வொரு பதுங்கு குழியாய் நின்று சிங்கள விலங்குகள் வேட்டையாடியதால் மாண்டுபோன நமது தமிழ் உறவுகளை நினைவு கூறுவோம். நமது சொந்தங்கள், நண்பர்கள் என அனைவரையும் அழைத்து வந்து அந்த வீரர்களுக்காகவும், போராளி மக்களுக்காகவும் மரியாதை செலுத்துவோம். பல்லாயிரக்கணக்கானத் தமிழர்களை மெரினாவிற்கு அழைத்து வருவோம். ஒரு மாபெரும் அஞ்சலி நிகழ்வை நிகழ்த்தி அதன் மூலமாக தமிழர்களின் ஒற்றுமையை இந்திய அரசுக்கும், நமது கோரிக்கையான “தமிழீழத்தை விடுதலை செய்” என்பதை சர்வதேசச் சமூகத்திற்கும் முகத்தில் அறைந்து சொல்லுவோம்.

பல்லாயிரக்கணக்கானத் தமிழர்களை ஒன்று கூட்டுவதை நமது தலையாய வேலையாக எடுத்துச் செல்வோம். சர்வதேசம் நமது கோரிக்கைகளை விவாதிக்கும் இந்த நேரத்தில் நமது பெருந்திரள் கூட்டம் அவர்களை ஒரு நெருக்குதலுக்கு உள்ளாக்கட்டும். இவர்கள் நேர்மையாக நமது கோரிக்கையை நிறைவேற்ற இந்த ஒன்று கூடல் ஒரு சிறு கருவியாகப் பயன்படட்டும்.  நூறு வருடங்களுக்கு முன் நிகழ்ந்த ஆர்மீனயப் படுகொலையையும், அதற்கு பின் நிகழ்ந்த யூதப்படுகொலையையும் இன்று வரை நினைவு கூறும் அந்தச் சமூகங்களைப்போலவே தமிழர்களும் திரளுவோம். இந்த நிகழ்வு இன்னும் வரும் காலங்களில் மேலும் வலிமை பெற்று நமது வலியை பதிவு செய்வோம்.
ஒன்றுபடுவோம். லட்சமாய் திரளுவோம்.

Grassroot Tamil Nadu gathers to remember genocide, voice for Tamil Eelam

Keeping aside party identities, religions and castes, more than 30,000 people of grass root Tamil Nadu gathered in Marina Beach of Chennai on Sunday to remember the genocide committed on Eezham Tamils and to call for independent and sovereign Tamil Eelam, sending a strong message to New Delhi and to the international community, the organisers of the event said. The congregation organised by Mr. Thirumurugan Gandhi of May 17 Movement, received massive support and participation of leaders cutting across party lines, similar grass root movements, civil society organisations, artists, social workers and the common public that has come with families bringing even their children.

Two of the co-organisers, Rajkumar Pazhanisamy and Umar Naina, told TamilNet that 25,000 of the candle sticks brought by them and 18,000 paper cups to cover the candle lights from wind and rain, were used by the participants in addition to the candles brought by other organisations and political parties that took part in the event.

The event was mobilised through social media and grass root organisations with little resources and within a short span of time.

The Tamil Nadu police anticipated participation of only around 500, media reports said.

The highlights of the event were paying homage to the Eezham Tamil victims of the genocide by lighting candlesticks and raising slogans calling for the independence of Tamil Eelam.

“We will never forget the genocide; Tamil Eelam is the only solution; New Delhi, stop betraying Tamils, and we in Tamil Nadu will stand with Eezham Tamils,” were the main slogans that were raised by the thousands who gathered at the Marina Beach.

Usually, the pattern in Tamil Nadu is that only mainstream political parties are capable of organising gatherings of mass participation. But, for the first time after a long time, the grass root Tamil Nadu gathered for such an event, in such a way as a mass uprising, responding to the call of a civil society movement.

Contrary to the usual practices of such gatherings, there were no lengthy speeches, except for a brief introduction by Mr. Pazha Nedumaran on the purpose of the gathering and a thanking speech at the end by the organiser, Mr. Thirumurugan Gandhi.

Mr. Umar Naina, a co-organiser said that he was inspired to involve in calling for mass uprisings after his exposure to the crisis of the fishermen of Tamil Nadu.

Displaying a folklore touch to the event were a programme of “Oppaari” (traditional way of wailing) and a folk theatre performance “Vamsa vatham” (the genocide) based on the Mahavamsa-minded genocide committed on Eezham Tamils.

Poet Kaasi Ananandan, Seeman, MDMK Mallai Sahthiya, Viduthalai Rajendran, Vel Murugan of Paattali Makkal Kadchi and artists Oaviyar Chanthaanam, Oaviyar Pukazheanthi, Poet Pulamaippiththan, Director Pukazheanthi, Viduthalai Rajendran, Professor Dheeran, Sahul Hameed, Thiruchi Velusamy, Professor Saraswathy, Thileepan Manram Thiyaagu were some of the prominent activists and artists, who took part in the event that began at 5:45 p.m. and ended at 8:40 p.m.

“People have begun to realise the importance of forging united action beyond political or caste identities, as Muthukumar, who sacrificed his life for bringing awareness for a mass struggle in Tamil Nadu as a response to the genocide being committed on Eezham Tamils,” the organisers said.

“The gathering is a message to New Delhi that that the time has come for Tamils in Tamil Nadu to stand for the Eezham Tamil brethren’s fight for justice,” they further said.

Hereafter, people in Tamil Nadu should be prepared to rise up and show their peoples’ responses for all future oppressions committed against Tamils, Mr. Thirumurukan Gandhi said at the end of the event.

Similar memorial events expressing solidarity were also observed in Madurai, Coimbatore and other places in the State, sources in Chennai said.
