We cordially invite you to the screening of the documentary “No Fire Zone” produced by Channel 4 at 4PM, 22/12/2003, Sunday, a t Indian Social Institute, near Sai Baba Mandir, Lodhi Road.
“No Fire Zone” revealed the brutality of Sri Lankan military and sent shock waves across the diplomatic circles, media people and civil society. In this documentary, the point blank killing of 12 year old child Balachandran, son of LTTE Leader Mr. Prabakaran and the rape and execution of innocent, young LTTE media anchor Miss. Isaipriya are shown exposing the brutal nature of Sri Lankan military.
In this civilized world, the civil society and the media have the high responsibility to expose such crimes and build a stronger civil society to stand against all forms of violence. We request you to watch the documentary and cover up the issue.
We would also like to bring to your attention that Mr. Callum Macrae, Director of this documentary was denied visa by the Indian Government, when an arrangement was made by Amnesty India to screen this documentary in New Delhi.
